Introduction

Traffic congestion in Hereford is a major problem. Regular commuters to the town (people who live outside the city but work or come there) are having problems getting into town in the mornings and evenings. This congestion occurs because what is called 'through traffic' coming from particularly Abergaveny and Ross-On-Wye has no other option but to pass over one bridge, This is why there is an urgent need for a bypass of Hereford.
