Summary:   It is basically a compare and contrast paper dealing with the government in Starship Troopers and ours, also talks about the freedoms we share and how we do nothing to get them and how you have to complete two years of millitary service in order to recieve citizenship in the novel "Starship Troopers."


America, the land of the free and the home of the brave. America comes with no price to people who are either born here, have American parents in the military who are over seas, or in one of the many American embasys. For those people freedom comes to birth, and along with our alienable rights, freedom, religion, press, assembly, petition. Do we as Americans take our freedom for granted? Do we as Americans earn our citizenship? To answer the questions yes and no. In the novel Starship Troopers by Robert A Heinlein Lt-col Jean V Dubois says," Citizenship is an attitude, a state of mind, an emotional conviction that the whole is greater thatn the part... and that the part should be humbly proud to sacrifice itself so the whole may live."
