This movie is a piece of sheer comedic genius. It is very rare in movies where you can really see and feel the soul of a man and this is what the movie has done, and brilliantly.

Rob Gordon (John Cusack) is a stubborn, cranky man with a jerky lifestyle who owns a vinyl record store that isn't exactly what you call "reaping the rewards" but either way, he is very passionate about it.
