First we had to figure out what the unknown liquid was, and then what the unknown solid was. We tried different substances for each of the unknowns.

Chemical engineering is a field of chemistry that involves discovering the most efficient way to perform chemical reactions. This laboratory might apply to a chemical engineer, because when we created our own bomb bag we wanted to create the biggest explosion that would burst the fastest. We had to put in as close as we could to the exact amount that the lab asked for to produce the best reaction.
