Summary:   Essay discusses the Democratic view of economics.


It is all about the "regular people." In the United States we pride ourselves on ensuring a good life for all citizens. This means, according to the Democrats, that every family deserves an equal amount of health care, all students should be provided with an elite education, and families in need should be able to receive welfare. I believe that I am on the Democratic Party's side because I agree with the Democrats on these three issues. I strongly believe in equality of all people, similar to the views of the Democrats, and therefore I label myself as economically democratic.

From 2000 to 2003 the total family premium for health care increased 41 percent, from $6,772 to $9549. This has placed increased pressure on American families. Not only have premiums risen, but so have out of pocket.....
