Amelia Earhart was a very amazing woman. She was perhaps one of the best pilots that ever lived. Amelia Earhart was one the first people to cross the Atlantic Ocean and the first woman to cross the Atlantic.

Amelia Earhart saw her first airplane when she was ten years old but she was not impressed with what she saw, it was not until about a decade later when she attended a study-flying exhibition that she started to like airplains. On December 28, 1920 pilot Frank Hawks gave Amelia her first flight. She was in love.

Amelia Earhart took her first flying lesson on January 3, 1921. She had managed to save enough money to buy her first plane, which was a Kinner Airster. With this two-seater biplane she broke her first woman's altitude record of 1400 feet.
