Chapter 1

Chapter one introduces the main character David as it is written in the first person. It talks about his dream of a lovely city he used to have frequently during his childhood. David tells his eldest sister Mary about his dreams of this city and is promised never to talk about it again to anyone else and forget about it. As he grows older he the dreams come less frequently and David eventually forgets about it. David always thought he an ordinary little boy growing up until one day he meets a girl named Sophie he finds out she has six toes. After this incident in meeting Sophie David's doubts about him being an ordinary little boy as he once thought he was, starts to germinate. In this chapter we get a ambiguous idea on David's ability to communicate with various people with his mind.
