A thorough book review of "Little Women", which includes information about the setting, an extensive plot description as well as the characters.

Little Women, by Louisa May Alcott is a romantic novel set in the19th Century in New England, America and was written in 1868-1869. Little Women is about four March sisters (Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy) growing up without their father because he had to serve as a chaplain during the Civil War in the 19th Century. They try to find real happiness even during the most difficult of times. In the course of the book there are many lessons about love, death, sacrifices, courtships as well as morals for life. All four sisters gradually mature through their own experiences for the better. As it is set in the 19th Century, women back then had to consider seriously who they were to marry as it was said to be a burden to marry a poor man. However,.....
