Tragic hero is a protagonist that is otherwise perfect except for a tragic flaw. That flaw eventually brings him down in the end. The closest thing to the idealized person, or hero, is the Shakespearean tragic hero. The tragic hero is, also someone of high standing, good character, and a flaw. While there may only be one flaw, that flaw could intern be fatal. An example of a tragic hero can be best seen as Marcus Brutus. Marcus Brutus is a leader and noble citizen of Rome, who leads in the assassination of Julius Caesar. Brutus was a philosopher and an idealist who sought for Rome's freedom. We see that Brutus plays the role of the tragic hero through his noble standing, fatal flaw, and legacy. As noble and great as Brutus might be, all tragic.....
