Glory Movie Review

Summary: Essay consists of a review of the movie "Glory."
Beginning with the gory battle of Antietam, the mood is set that this is not Sesame Street. A man charges through with nothing but a sword, and gets a mere shot to the neck and falls, but not to his death. This is the protagonist, Robert Gould Shaw, played by Mathew Broderick. Mathew Broderick is also most recently known for his voice of Simba in The Lion King 1½. Later Robert finds himself with a black regiment, which he must now command. But Shaw has a weakness, he is not assertive enough for his position. He finally seems to "come out of his shell" when he gets shoes and supplies from his men. Soon after the regiment is allowed to fight! This is great news to all of the men, and moral is very high. After their first battle they had very few casualties and were victorious. Soon you...
