Imagine being a king or queen in the Middle Ages. What would it be like? What would it be like to be a peasant? Times were different then. The Middle Ages had a very different code of conduct than ours today. In the Middle Ages, there were kings that ruled their lands, knights who would either help or kill people. There was no middle class, only the very rich and the very poor peasants. Glory, nobility, justice, adventure, and loyalty are all part of the Middle Ages' heroic tradition. These words also relate to present times, but sometimes in a very different way.

Glory was a very important part of the Middle Ages heroic tradition. When knights fought, whoever won would be praised. According to dictionary.com, glory is Great honor, praise, or distinction accorded by common consent;.....
