Similarities and Differences between the American Revolution and other Revolutions

Summary:   Comparing and contrasting the American revolution to other revolutions: French, Russian, and Chinese.


The acts of violence that replaced reason, several changes of power, and the economic decline during the American Revolution were similar to The French, Chinese, and Russian Revolutions. When acts of violence replaced reason, the American, Russian and Chinese Revolutions' governments abused their power and hurt their citizens. An example of how acts of violence replaced reason in the American Revolution happened in the beginning of the revolution. After a failed attempt to boycott English goods in order for Parliament to repeal the Intolerable Acts, the 13 Colonies formed an army. The British found out and marched from Boston to capture the Colonies' leader. They retrieved the weapons of the Colonists. The Colonial militia, however, resisted and fought with the British Troops. A riot held in March 1917 during the Russian Revolution, the soldiers shot rioters.....
