Summary: The bibliography of Biggie Smalls and how he became famous.
Notorious B.I.G. (aka Biggie Smalls, Biggie, and Big poppa) was one of the most well know gangster rappers in the mid 1990's. The 300-pound rapper turned his life of crime to a life of fame and he eventually became the center of the East Coast West Coast War. Even before he was famous his mother said, "Christopher was always special, he could sing and talk before he could walk" (Bandhunt, 1).

Christopher Wallace on May 21, 1972 in Brooklyn, New York. Voletta Wallace, a pre-school teacher, raised him when he was born. Biggie Smalls lived in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant, a poor Brooklyn community. Biggie (a nickname he received because he was over weight) was an honor-roll student that wanted to become an artist. He quit high school at the age of 17, and became a crack dealer, not knowing what might become of his future was, but his world...
