Rocket Boys is a story that demonstrates perseverance and shows you can do anything you want to if you work at it. I do think this book should be recommended reading for all freshmen. It teaches good values like how to persevere through tough choices and the doubt others. It also shows about your abilities and show high school kids striving toward their goal to accomplish something great.

The author thinks the thesis as you can be anything you want to be regardless of what your family or your community does for a living. If everyone would have this mindset they could accomplish more in life. In this book, the young boys go to a high school were the emphasis is on football not academics.
