The word no is one of the shortest words in the dictionary, but it changed American history forever. Rosa Parks was always a person who fought for what she believed in and never let anyone stand in her way. In a society where blacks and whites were segregated in all aspects of life, Rosa Parks took a stand in her fight for civil rights. She faced adversity all her life, but her will and determination to be equal paved the way to an American society without hatred and prejudice towards blacks.
