Summary:   This essay is about what causes laughter.


Everybody laughs once in a while. Laughter is contagious and beneficial. It helps us get by with stress, and relax with friends. People laugh at different things and for different reasons. It is an indication of happiness, the sole reason we go on living. For most people ticking causes laughter. If an alien dropped by it will think that humans communicate through laughter because laughing serves as the main communication method, with the spoken words interspersed as afterthoughts. Laughing has various causes: tickling, social connection, and higher brain function.

Many people are ticklish, and when you tickle them they laugh just like the Tickle Me Elmo Doll. When one try to tickle their selves it do not cause laughter because it is missing an element, surprise. Touching does not cause any laughter because it's not unpredictable;.....
