The Evolution of Hinduism and Buddism

Summary:  

A compare and contrast essay between the two religions of Hinduism and Buddism.

Though religions are based on the traditions that date back thousands of years, they still change over the immense amount of time that they exist. The ceremonies involved with the religion change depending on the modern times that they exist in. As human technology and ethical code advance, some religious ceremonies and beliefs are altered or forgotten all together. Thus over a thousand years, a religion is changed into what it is today, and over the next thousands, even millions of years, it will continue to change. Two examples of the evolution religions are the beliefs of Hinduism and Buddhism.

The legendary beginning of Buddhism began with a person of royalty named Siddhartha Gautama. Siddhartha was a prince whose father dictated that he never know the world beyond the palace walls. Thus, Siddhartha grew not knowing.....
