In The Lord of the Flies By William Golding, Piggy was an Over weight child. Taugnting him was the other group members Amusement. Piggy Deeply believed in the Conch shell. I believe that The conch shell gave piggy support when no one else was there for him. when Piggy talked the conch shell stopped everyone from talking over him. The others weren't able to make fun of him and tease him. It let piggy say what he wanted to say. But Once The boys divivded up into two groups the conch no longer kept the other boys from talking. So Piggy was walked all over. He was just about to give up. Piggy no longer believed that they were going to be saved, Piggy wanted to just go and join the other tribe. He thought that they would be killled by the other tribe before anyone would come to save them.
