The Need for Immigration in Canada

Summary:   This essay explains why Canada needs to increase immigration.


Canada is the second largest country in the world, with 7% of the world's land mass and only 0.2% of the worlds population, therefore it is easy to see how unpopulated Canada is. With Canada's current birth rate, it is impossible for Canada to reach the world's standard of population, thus Canada relies on immigration. Immigration levels are very important to Canada because they essentially control many of the aspects of the economy, from what Canada produces to its interaction with other countries. Higher immigration levels are very beneficial to the economy, yet many analysts do not see this and therefor immigration levels are not raised. Canada should increase its levels of immigration because it would fill its job gaps, better the economy by increasing foreign trade, create more jobs and benefit the people in other.....
