Summary: Essay shows how the flawed character in "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller was Abigail Williams.
The most flawed character in The Crucible was Abigail Williams. I find her as the most flawed for more than one reason. Although she never expected her plans to go as far as they did she still deserved to be hanged more than any of the other villagers that did hang.

In earlier times when Abigail was the housekeeper for John Proctor she was not as innocent as seen. She secretly had an affair with Proctor, but was then caught and thrown out onto the high road. This was just the beginning of her troubles throughout the story. Her downfall began to rise as she went into the woods and did what seemed to be harmless things into a great heap of trouble. She somehow convinced all of the other girls with an exception of a few to follow her along on this big lie that would harm...
