The novel The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz takes place In Quebec Canada in the year 1950's. In the book "Duddy Kravitz," Duddy is a young Jewish boy that demonstrates the way a young Jewish man is expected to act according to stereotypes handed down over the years. Jewish people are assumed to be a people that show personality traits such as lying, cheating, and stinginess. The stereotypes also show that Jews use others for own personal gains and are very religious. Duddy also seems to use everyone he can to get ahead in life and also pays the price. Duddy Kravitz showed this in the novel by starting a poor quality movie business and selling bad movies. Second he used Yvette for his on personal gain. Lastly he scammed his own family, friends and his community......
