"Beowulf" and "The Day of Destiny"

Summary:   Essay compares the stories of "Beowulf" and "The Day of Destiny."


In the stories "Beowulf" and "The Day of Destiny' we were introduced to two great characters who had many similarities in their deaths. In both stories there was a sign of bad fate against both Beowulf, and King Arthur. Whether it was someone stealing a golden cup, or a Knight carelessly pulling his sword, both battles were started by someone other than themselves. In the stories both men were extremely brave in their last battles. Also to contribute in both deaths was their stubbornness to call it quits, their egos got in the way. Beowulf and King Arthur had many similarities in both of their deaths.

In both stories a sign shows that fate is against both Beowulf or King Arthur. During the last battle of Beowulf against the dragon, Beowulf is hit by a stream.....
