Summary: The following is a letter about the dangers of T.V.
Dear Tom,

As a class, in Advance Comp, we just read the book Four Arguments to the Elimination of Television, by Jerry Mander. It discusses the harms and dangers of TV. While reading it, I thought of you because I feel that you watch too much TV. You may not always be sitting on the coach watching but as you do chores you listen to it and are often in the same room as it. Jerry Mander says that the television is harmful even if you aren't starring at it because it puts out harmful radiation. The television is, both physically and mentally, harmful to you if you are exposed to it for long periods of time.

The TV works by shooting thousands of electrons at a phosphorus screen, using a 25,000 to 50,000 volt gun. The electrons that are shot react with the screen and make it light up...
