Summary: It is about the different problems that the South of Thailand are facing.
The problems in the south of Thailand are largely centered on the three southern provinces of Yala, Pattani, Satun and Narathiwat. Deputy Prime minister Chavilat stated that there should be 6000 police on duty but 2000 had resigned after militant have began targeted government officials and security personnel. He stated that the number of police should be doubled to about 10,000. Approximately 110 people have died in the south of Thailand and these numbers include, police, soldiers, villagers and monks. Muslims separatists have been blamed of much of the violence according to the nation newspaper but no one has come forward to claim responsibility. In contrast police chief general Sant Sarutanond believed that the problems were the work of an organized group of the south he stated that they were not separatists, but a group of people dedicated to destroy the lives of police officers in order to create chaos.
