Entry Requirements

You will need a degree either in chemical science, physical science, mathematical science, applied science, life and medical science or agriculture and horticultural sciences. To become a toxicologist you can enter with any biological degrees, but a chemistry education is necessary. If you are a first-degree biochemist you can enter directly and then be trained on the job. An honors degree is needed. To be a clinical toxicologist you need to be medically authorized. You cannot enter toxicology with just a HND or without a degree. You should have a good knowledge of computers.

Training

The training begins practical, it's mostly in the lab or in the animal house. Later training is focused on project management, data interpretation, report writing and court reporting. To become a clinical toxicologist you need to get a position in a.....
