Summary:   This essay deals with the role of youth in shaping society.


In today's society, a huge issue is the problem of youth crime and associated drug abuse and vandalism. High youth unemployment is also a contributing factor to this social problem. Much of this occurs because the perpetrators have nothing else to do, that is, they are bored. The leaders of today need to remedy the situation in order to improve society's well being.

There is a known relationship between sport participation and the prevention of juvenile crime. Utilising sport and recreation to improve youth activity is a strategy that has much to offer Australia. This issue is very important to the youth of today because all young people want to do is to have fun. It doesn't matter how this is done as long is cheap and easy. By attracting young people to fun, cheap and easily.....
