Capital Punishment Is a Crime

Summary:   Essay gives my view on how capital punishment is wrong.


If we kill people who commit murder, wouldn't that make us hypocrites? If we want to set a good example and teach younger generations that killing is wrong, then we shouldn't kill. We can teach that there are other ways to deal with problems without using violence. If a murderer is sentenced to a life sentence, then the sentence should carry out for the rest of their natural life, with no chance of parole. We are only human, not God. It isn't our choice to decide who lives or who dies.

I am not arguing that people who have committed murder should not be punished. Personally, I feel that by killing the accused, we are setting them free. A life banished to a eight by ten gray cell is a fate worse than death. The accused.....
