Capital Punishment has been around for thousands of years, since the beginning of mankind to be exact. One of the most recognized would have to be the crucifixion of Christ. Although since then the ways people are killed have changed and are no longer done the same the same outcome is achieved by both, someone dies. Today however capital punishment is only used on those people who have been on death row and are believed to be a threat to society if released. There are many different types of ways people are sentenced to death the most common being lethal injection, but there's also the electric chair, hanging and the firing squad. There are two sides to the topic of capital punishment, those who are for it and those who oppose capital punishment.
