He started writing at the turn of the century and his work reflected the changes, he has aristocratic background .His father was a very important lawyer.and a shareholder in a very important stock company.in London.He spent his youth at ease,attended Harrow secondary school,then at Oxford and started studying law. He worked as a lawyer, but he was interested in art, started writing very early. He traveled through British colonies on which h e met Joseph Conrad. He stimulated Galsworty to devote his life to writing and they remained life-long friends.His wife Ada was previously married to his cousin and G. helped her free herself. This inspired him to devote to themes of legal machinery of society which functions without giving any attention to someone's desires and happiness. The sense of belonging to certain social class.....
