A senator, The No Child Left Behind Act or the NCLB, has done the complete opposite of its intention. The statement of purpose in the No Child Left Behind Act claims that it is intended to ensure that all children reach ` challenging' standards in reading and math and to close the academic achievement gap that exists by race and class. However, if the law were designed to make sufficient progress towards this goal, educators all over America would support it.
