Summary: The American Society has changed a great deal over the past years. From the 1950's, things have changed tremendously. Entertainment as well as communism has been important factors to our changes of the economy.
American society has changed a great deal over the years. Although there has been many changes since the 20th century to now, many things have stayed the same.

The American lifestyle has changed tremendously. During the 1950's a 4 year witch hunt took place. A man named Joseph McCarthy accused over 200 people of being communists. Since the Cold War many Americans were afraid of communists. So, when McCarthy was making these false accusations, America was left in an uproar. McCarthy went too far though, when he accused the United States Army of being communists. He was left known as an embarrassment and the witch hunt ended. The early 1950's also became a time when blacks were considered people to whites. Laws were created that said that all states must educate blacks. Soon after, public swimming pools, playgrounds, and parks became open to them. Many whites were discouraged with these...
