Summary:   This essay analyzes the reoccurring symbol and theme of Resurrection in the book "A Tale of Two Cities."


Charles Dicken's novel "A TALE OF TWO CITIES" tells a story of love, hate, courage, and madness, in a time when revolution was on the brink changing European society forever. It captivates the lives of three men who were ultimately altered by the sudden paradoxical existence they were thrown into by the vast social changes of the time. Each of these men lived through a time described as "the best of times, the worst of times," and throughout each of their lives a miraculous transformation occurred which enabled each one of them to live in such an insane, but yet have their best qualities, opportunities, live brought back to them. They theme of resurrection predominantly shadows all other themes present in "A TALE OF TWO CITIES," and this mystical transformation was the phenomena that gave Charles.....
