Themain characters in this novel are Susie Salmon, the 14-year-old girl who is murdered,Mr. Harvey, her murderer, Jack, her father, and Lindsey, her younger sister. The story istold from Heaven, but most of the setting is on earth during the 1970's. Characters,tone, and theme make this novel the bestseller that it is.
