Summary:   This essay explores the geography, history and overall culture of Pakistan. It also includes information about the Government, The history of the flag, the current President (Pervez Musharref) and rural and urban life.


Pakistan is 310,403 square miles (803,944square kilometers) and is located in South Asia. In the east, Pakistan is bordered by India, to the west it is bordered by Afghanistan and also to the north. Iran is bordered on the southwest and the Arabian Sea to the south. IN the northern part of Pakistan the well -known Hindu Kush mountain range which rises 25,236 feet (7,692 meters) in Tirich Mir. The nation's lifeline, the Indus River is Pakistan's chief river it flows the length of country. Waters of the Punjab- the Chenab, Jhelum, and Ravi feed the Indus. Two other rivers (of the five in Pakistan) the Beas and the Sutlej are used for irrigation in India, the biggest enemy of Pakistan.
