Summary: Essay examines if George needs Lennie more or vice versa in the novel "Of Mice and Men."
I believe that Lennie definitely needs George more than George needs Lennie. You can tell this in many ways. One way is that Lennie is always relying on George to take care of him. George always tells Lennie what is right and wrong and Lennie depends on George to make sure that he behaves. An example is that George hit Lennie over the head to make him let go of the girl from Weed. If he hadn't let go he probably would have killed her just as he killed Curley's wife.

Also, another example was when George told Lennie that if something went wrong he was to go back to the bushes by the cesspool and wait for George.
