Summary: The following describes the many different procedures of abortion.
According to Merriam-Webster Dictionary, abortion is defined as "the termination of a pregnancy after, accompanied by, resulting in, or closely followed by the death of the embryo or fetus." Abortion is the most frequent surgical operation done in a years time period ("Who does abortion affect""). Of all baby girls forty two percent will be aborted, and of all baby boys twenty five percent will be aborted. Of all the women in the world forty percent will have more than one abortion. Of all the women in the world fifty percent use abortion as their sole means for birth control ("Who does abortion affect""). These stats are very realistic and true to our world, but the fact that all of those babies are aborted are startling.
