When FDR got elected as president he inherited a lot of problems from Hoover. He was dedicated to helping the country though and capable enough to do it. He instituted many changes in the first part of his term, later called the Hundred Days.

One of the first things he had to deal with was a banking crisis. People were panicking and withdrawing all their money from banks all over the country. In Michigan the governor had issued a moratorium closing all the banks. FDR declared a bank holiday. The only thing people could do was take out loans for food or animal feed. He then let only the banks that were in good financial condition. He also encouraged people to put their money back in the banks.

After this disaster was averted he worked on getting relief agencies to the people. The first thing he did was set up...
