When Landfills Are Full, Where Will the Trash Go?

Summary: America produces more trash than any other country in the world. How does this affect us and the world we live in? What kind of actions are being taken and what the average person can do to make a difference?
Many people live their lives unaware of an accumulating danger that threatens the human lifestyle and existence. America creates more trash than any other nation on the planet. We as Americans are largely responsible for much of the pollution and environmental problems that exist today. One of the most alarming issues is where to dispose of the trash that we create on a daily basis. I hope by writing this article, more people will be aware of the hazard that is building up in the landfills.

Research has shown that Americans generate four pounds of trash per person every single day. While this number may not alarm you, be aware that it adds up to 600,000 tons of trash per day. Which means 210 million tons per year! Some of this trash is indeed recycled, but the majority of the bulk is heaped up in various landfills right now.
