Summary:   Essay explores if the American Revolutionary War was fueled by self-interest.


The American Revolutionary War was a war between England and Colonial America over Colonial America's freedom from England. Many of the colonialists were in favor of the war to end taxation and new ruling. However, the colonialist that wanted taxation to end because they could not afford it. For the ones that could afford it wanted the war for their own self-interest. The definition of self-interest is the selfish or excessive regard for one's personal advantage or interest. Some self-interests include political power and more money. That is why the American Revolutionary War fueled by the self-interest.
