Throughout the years, the fact that physical education is a required course for people in kindergarten through their senior year in a high school has been a controversy. It is commonly argued that it should not be a required course because it has no academic value, But the value gained from physical activity is far greater then books can offer. In our society, obesity is a real problem.

If you are taught the values of exercise and how to take care of your body, what are the chances that you will completely ignore it? It is more then likely that you will carry on those ideas, leading you to a healthy lifestyle. Therefore I believe that some form of physical activity should remain required for students in all grades.

Our society is over populated with obese individuals that have no idea how to take care of their bodies...
