On the high plateau there are hot summers and drier with cold winters. The ethnic groups are: Arab-Berber 99%, European less than 1%. The religions are: Sunni Muslim (state religion) 99%, Christian and Jewish 1%, and the languages are Arabic (official), French, and Berber dialects. Their government is a republic government. In its beginning it served as a transit for people moving toward Europe of the Middle East. The Romans followed by the Germanic Vandal tribes and the Byzantines ruled that area......
