Summary:   A summary of "The Prince and the Pauper" by Mark Twain.


The Prince and the Pauper is by Mark Twain. It is about a prince and a pauper boy that trade places and live in each other's lives. The prince, Edward, and the pauper, Tom, have very different lifestyles. Edward has a life of royalty and gets anything he wants. Tom has to beg just to survive. When the prince and the pauper switched places, neither knew how to act or what to do.

Tom Canty was very poor and had a very low life. He always wanted to be like the prince, so one while begging he went by the palace hoping to see the prince. As he caught a glimpse of the prince a soldier stopped him. The soldier said, "Mind thy manners, thou young beggar!"

When Edward saw how poorly the soldier was treating Tom,.....
