Summary: Describes the numerous advances made by Muslims in late antiquity.
There are many opinions involving the righteousness of the Muslim advance through Europe. Some people view the ancient Islamic societies as war mongering barbarians, while others view them as a bonafide culture, rich with art, technology and tradition. However you see the venerable Muslim society, one thing that is certain is that they have contributed much to the world of long ago, and today.

One could argue that the years 800-1000 A.D. were the Golden Age of Islam. Much like Athen's Golden Age, this period of time brought about immense advances in the feilds of science, math, language and technology. During this duration, Islamic scholars studied and translated texts that were written in Greek, Persian and Indian, thus perfecting many of the aspects that were revealed by the authors of these works.
