Summary: Essay provides a character analysis of Macbeth from William Shakespeare's "Macbeth."
The Tragedy of Macbeth is a work of Shakespeare, This work of Shakespeare is about a Scottish noble named Macbeth. The story begins after a battle has taken place against the Thane of Cawdor and his rebel army. Macbeth wins the battle and is pronounced the Thane of Cawdor. While Macbeth and Banquo, Macbeth's best friend, are riding a along a road, they both see three witches. The Witches start to praise Macbeth king, "All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!" (I.iii.53).

They also tell Banquo that he will not be king but his sons shall be king, "thou shalt get kings, though thou be none." (I.iii.70).

Macbeth sends a letter to his wife talking about the witches and the prophecy they foretold. Lady Macbeth is Macbeth's main influence in killing Duncan to be king. Then after killing Duncan Macbeth kills his best friend Banquo...
