Summary:  

My essay is a biography of Stephen King. It describes his life and his work in books and movies.

Stephen King, one of America's most famous horror writers, has published best sellers throughout his lifetime; he focuses on the supernatural in his books. From 1973 to the present day, he has written countless short stories and novels. Also some movies have been produced based on his novels.

Stephen King was born on September 21, 1947, at Maine General Hospital in Portland, Maine. Two years before he was born, physicians had informed his father, Donald Edward King, and his mother, Nellie Ruth Pillsbury King, that they would never conceive. Stephen also had a brother, his name was David King. David was adopted because the King's thought they would never have a child; so they did the next best thing and adopted one. When Stephen was a child, since his mother's maiden name was Pillsbury, Nellie King claimed.....
