The Great War was finally over and in 1919, after experiencing the mental and physical side effects of war oversees and at home, Canadians prayed for a better life. Luckily, their prayers were answered with events that took place during the 1920's. The Canadian economy underwent such a significant turn around that people of almost all classes were able to afford clothes, meals, and even luxury items without the extreme hassle that had been a reality in the previous years. In fact, the 1920's were so prosperous that they went down in history as the "roaring twenties." With the economy up people were able to afford cars, radios, household appliances, and even invest in the stock market. Women underwent a drastic change in role and identity during the decade. They were no longer forced to stay.....
