James Bond: from Hero to Zero

Summary:   Essay provides a description about the character of James Bond.


He takes his women beautiful, his Walther PPK pistol strapped and loaded, and his vodka martinis shaken, not stirred. This man, of course, is the most famous spy in the world, Commander James Bond of Her Majesty's Secret Service. He is the classic, cinematic hero. Bond flicks have been enormously popular and extremely hot in the box office ever since the original, Dr. No, back in 1962; however since then, the legendary icon's image has dramatically changed in many ways. Bond films have become more about the spectacle than about the man. Each actor to portray Agent 007 has added something unique, which has brought forth many changes to the Bond. The differences between the original Bond films, starring Sean Connery, and those starring Pierce Brosnan highlight the distinctive changes in Bond films over the past.....
