Nowadays many people seem to have a huge problem with immigrants who leave their homelands in order to start a new life in a foreign country. Immigration has always been a topical issue- as you can already read in John Steinbeck's novel "Grapes of Wrath" -but especially nowadays in times of the eastern enlargement everybody has to deal with this subject.
In many countries people are confronted with war, diseases, plagues, natural disasters and political or religious persecution. These are the reasons why they often decide to emigrate because living in their country is not save any longer.
A couple of weeks ago I saw a documentary about a family in Afghanistan who wanted to escape from the war. I found it shocking when I saw these people who had to leave their houses, their friends.....
