Fragile X Syndrome

Summary:   The essay is about the fragile X syndrome.


Fragile X syndrome is a chromosomal disorder that is one of the most common cause of inherited mental retardation. It is always found and starts at the birth of children, mostly males, and sometimes gets way worse and sometimes just stays the same. With Fragile X syndrome a certain group of people are affected and it changes speech patterns and voice, there is a general or certain "look" to the people who have the disease and there is a difference in a child with the diseases school behavior versus one who doesn't have the disease.

Fragile X syndrome is passed down from the mother to the off spring. It is found in one out of every 2,000 males and one out of every 4,000 females. Which makes it obvious that males are the ones that the disease.....
