Rebuttal of Bertrand Russell's: Why I Am Not a Christian
Summary: Essay consists of a rebuttal on an essay by Bertrand Russell entitled "Why I Am Not A Christian."
The purpose of this paper is to rebut an essay by Bertrand Russell called "Why I Am Not a Christian." There are many flaws in his arguments, but I will focus only on those in his arguments that there were defects in Christ's teaching and that there is a moral problem with the Christian religion. Russell uses scripture from the Bible to prove his arguments, and so will I.
Bertrand Russell attempts to reveal defects in Christ's teaching. First, I would like to point out that either Christ is who He said He was or He wasn't at all, but instead a great deceiver who died for His own pride. Mr. Russell tries to say that Christ was wise and good, but that He wasn't God. How could one who falsely claims to be God still be considered wise and good?
